Narrative scaffold

 Narrative scaffold

Last week, Whaea Toni shared the whole class a Narrative scaffold. In that scaffold there were empty boxes. In those empty boxes we had to fill them out with writing. Before we had to write something, we watched a video before we started writing. The video has no sound and no song. We had to write a story or a poem about the videos we watched. The names of the videos are snack attack and the present. In there, there is the title, introduction, problem arising, problem development and resolution.

Waka Hourua T-shaped

 Waka Hourua T-shaped

In Week 4 - 5. We were put in groups by Whaea Toni. So I got put into waka hourua. There are some questions there that we had to fill out. Some of the questions are, " What was the main purpose of this waka?", " What is the make up of this waka?", " What is the construction process of this waka?" and " What is the difference between waka hourua and waka taua?". I had to find some facts of the internet and put it into my literacy. After that, Wahea Toni told us all to get all our facts from our literacy and put them into our group work. On our group work we draw a waka and put all our information around the waka. Waka hourua is a double hull and waka taua isn't. Waka taua has sails and waka hourua doesn't. Thank you for reading. Have a good day :)

This week my class did inquiry about their waka they were given to do research about. I was to do research about Waka Hourua. Waka Hourua was built by Hekenukumai Busby. We did facts about our waka and we also did a poster. In our poster we had to do a picture if we wanted to, we grabs some facts from our inquiry. Here is my Waka Hourua poster. Enjoy!
