Last week my class and I did research on drugs and alcohol. We had to ddo it with a partner, so I did my research with Mahina. We both had to write in our books because we forgot our chromebook, so then we used the ipad. We had to write what could happen, the dangers, why do people take drugs, what does it feel like,what are the effects, what it looks like and what it taste like. On Tuesday, my class, room 5 and room 6 walked from our school to the fire station. Every tuesday in term 4, we are going to the fire station. The first day we went to the fire station, we went into three lines of eight. We got taught commands that they probably do. After they taught us the commands, we went into our activities. There was Waka, biking and services. Our first activity was services. What you have to do is get into teams. I was with Khamani, Mahuta, Quineil, Zowyn and Kyle. We got hoses put in front of our teams. We got into partners but still in our teams. One person had to roll the hose and the other had to roll it back in. Then its the next other peoples turn

Lineage

Lineage

Last week my class and I did lineage work. Lineage work is about your family. You have to put yourself at the bottom and put your parents above you. Then you put their parents above your parents and then put their parents above your grandparents. This was hard because you had to write your great great parents full name and I never knew my great great grandparents full name. Here is my work that I did.

My Goal

My goal

Yesterday my class and I did our goal for next year. My goal was to still play some more sports. Last term our class watched a video of people using water colours and hot colours for their art. So we used water colours and hot colours this term. We first drew our eye with a pencil. We drew eyelashes and even some eyebrows but I didn't. Then we left it a few days later and we put water and hot colours around the eye and the eyelashes. Then one day later we went on our chromebooks and we had to write the reason why we chose this goal.Here is my art that I did.

On the first day of term 3, my class and I did our rongoa poster. What we had to do was write the the family, the common name, botanical name of the plants and the medicinal properties. I did my poster with my friend Kailah. Kailah put all the information in and I did the title and the photo of the rongoa. She copied and paste the work from last term to our poster. Anyways here is my poster that we made.

Last week my class and I did labeling. What we had to do was to go on a google drawing that Whaea Toni shared us and fill in the boxes. What we put in the boxes was a picture, the storage, what to use it for, Ingredients and the date made. Whaea Toni also shared us a barcode to put in the middle of the squares. Anyways here is my work. 

Tuhi Mahorahora

Today I did my Tuhi Mahorahora. What I had to do is write sentences about a picture in Maori. The picture I did was a snowy place with a sunrise rising up. To me it looked like a farm. Anyways here is my Tuhi Mahorahora. 

Stolen stars

The stolen stars of Matariki

Last week Whaea Toni read us a story about the stolen stars of Matariki. In the story there were a young little boy and a young lady. There names were Te Rerehua and Sam. There were also a grandma. At night they would go look at the stars, but then grandma saw something going on up there. She saw that there were two missing stars from the other seven. It was Patupairehe stealing a star. Later on Patupairehe captured the others. Grandma and the two little ones went to go and save them. When she had rescue them she threw them back up and then grandma and the two little ones went back home...

Last week Kailah and I are working on a game procedure. We had to choose a game that we have to write about. Kailah and I did Tapuwae. We have to write how to play, the materials needed, purpose of the game, what skills are needed and the diagram of set up. The game procedure is pretty fun to do.
