Lineage

Last week my class and I did lineage work. Lineage work is about your family. You have to put yourself at the bottom and put your parents above you. Then you put their parents above your parents and then put their parents above your grandparents. This was hard because you had to write your great great parents full name and I never knew my great great grandparents full name. Here is my work that I did.

My goal

Yesterday my class and I did our goal for next year. My goal was to still play some more sports. Last term our class watched a video of people using water colours and hot colours for their art. So we used water colours and hot colours this term. We first drew our eye with a pencil. We drew eyelashes and even some eyebrows but I didn't. Then we left it a few days later and we put water and hot colours around the eye and the eyelashes. Then one day later we went on our chromebooks and we had to write the reason why we chose this goal.Here is my art that I did.

On the first day of term 3, my class and I did our rongoa poster. What we had to do was write the the family, the common name, botanical name of the plants and the medicinal properties. I did my poster with my friend Kailah. Kailah put all the information in and I did the title and the photo of the rongoa. She copied and paste the work from last term to our poster. Anyways here is my poster that we made.

During lockdown

 During lockdown I spent time with my family and spent some time on doing some work. During lockdown Kahukura and Mahuta stayed half of the weeks, so we did work together.  Later those days they went back home. When they had left I've been doing most of my work. I did most of my work so I could go to my sisters house for the weekend. When I had finished she rang up and said that she would pick me up the next day. Then the next day she picked me up at 7:00 with her cousin. They had only came back from Auckland.  When I went to her house my two uncles and her koro were thier. When we went inside she had a sit down and had a drink because she was tired. A hour later I had a shower. After my shower I went to bed. When I went to bed I tried to hang the dressing down up but I was too short. So my Tall uncle had a laugh and hanged it up. After that I went to sleep. Then the next day, I had a turn on the game. Then I got dressed and had one more game.  Then I went to my sisters koros house. When I got there I went on the skateboard. I went down the big driveway. Then I went inside and had breakfast. One hour later it was getting sunnier. After I had breakfast, I went to the pigpen and feed the pigs. Mihi and the other little kids help feed the pigs. Atarangi and I feed the pigs alotttt of bread. A few hours later we had lunch outside by the trampoline. A few more hours later it was getting darker. When it was dark. Waipiro and I went to McDonalds for dinner. Then we went back to the workshop and had our dinner. When we went inside it was freezing so we had our dinner in the car and had a wash inside. When we had finish our shower I had a game of fortnite.  I had four games and then went to sleep. The next day I woke up and got dressed and  I went back home....

In the past two weeks my class and I have been doing our window template. Some people have done there's on their chromebooks and on a paper. On our window template we had to do 10 things that interested. My favourite thing to do was go to my sisters house. It was fun to do. Here is my window template.

Rongoa inquiry

Today I did my Rongoa inquiry. I had to find the information about a plant that you use ingredients for Rongoa. I found that challenging because you had to find the information and read the parts what you need. Here is my Rongoa inquiry :)

Puna Reo Maori

Today I did my Puna Reo Maori. What you have to do on Puna Reo is that you have to find the english words and definition for your Maori words and then write a sentence using the wors you have been given. I find the Puna Reo interesting. Here is my Puna Reo Maori :)

Surf life saving

Surf life saving

Yesterday morning we went to Ruakaka beach for surf life saving. On our way there we were singing on the bus. When we got there we went inside and meet Sophie and Stella. We sat down and Sophie and Stella was talking about safety. After that we had morning tea. While we were having morning tea, after we had morning tea we got dressed into our togs. When we were finished we had done some activities. We done some activities so we can get more hot. After we had done some activities we had to get in our year groups. My class was on the buggy boards and Nga Rau Tipuranaga was just having a swim. When i was on the buggy boards its was fun. My friends and i catched some waves. We had to kick before the waves came by us. It was soo fun!! Sometimes i didn't catch a wave. I like to go over the waves because it's fun. After we all had a swim we went back to school but we were a bit late. Hope you enjoy
